Health Freedom Expo 2008

Monday, February 25th, 2008

I hope you had a great weekend.

Mine was fantastic.
I attended the Health Freedom Expo in Long Beach, CA. It was really good for me.

If you haven’t been to this event, you should make a point of attending. It is held every year in Long Beach and Chicago.

Holistic health is my forte, so I really enjoy being surrounded by the energy contained in these types of events.

It is always interesting to see what the new fad is every year. Last year it was Nikken water systems, Goji juice, and cell phone protection devices.
This year the flavor of the day is water ionization machines and acai berries.

I’ll write more on these subjects on upcoming posts. :)

The cool thing about this event is the fact that it has a ton of informative seminars held all day long. In fact, at any given time there are as many as four seminars going on at one time. Very interesting and very cool.

This event was very grounding for me this year.
It helped to give me a renewed sense of who I am.

I help people achieve vibrant health through holistic fitness & nutrition. And I’m really good at it. ;)

I was put on this earth to make a positive impact… to clear up the confusion and help people take control of their lives.

Well, enough about me.

I’ll end this by saying that I look forward to making a huge impact in 2008. There are collaborative efforts being made between myself and other individuals that are very exciting for the coming year and beyond.

Have an awesome week.

Are You Achieving Your Goals?

Friday, February 15th, 2008

I hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day. It was an awesome day in Southern California.

Now, it’s the day after…
This is the time of year when thoughts of New Year’s resolutions start to fade away.

How are yours coming along? Are you on a path towards achieving your goals or have you let your aspirations fade away?

I ask these questions because I am a success coach. I help people achieve their goals and want you to achieve yours.
The trick behind goal achievement is keeping motivated, excited, and fully charged about whatever it is you want to accomplish.

Here is a simple tip that will help keep you motivated on a straight line path towards achieving your goals:

Write your goals down and read them every day!

Doing this one simple action will catapult you towards achieving everything that you desire.
Here is what I do when I want to achieve a goal that is important to me.

  1. Write down the exact goal that you want to acccomplish. Be specific. Don’t say “I want to lose weight.” Say “I want to lose 3 inches in my waist and fit into my red sexy dress by June 15!” It is very important to be specific.
  2. Backward plan your goal. Imagine it is June 15 and you have achieved your goal. Imagine all of the steps that got you there. Plan backward from June 15 to the present day. Be clear on everything you need to do.
  3. Write down how acieving your goal will make you feel. How will it benefit your life? Why is it important to you to achieve this goal?
  4. Read this goal everyday, first thing in the morning, and dedicate yourself to achieving what you desire.

Taking this plan of action can be the difference between happiness and disappointment; the difference between achieving your goals and letting them slip away.

I wish you success and happiness in the coming year. :)

Have a wonderful day,

The Greatest Super Bowl!

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

The New York giants just won the Super Bowl!

Can you believe it?

This is arguably the greatest Super Bowl upset of all time.

I am not a hardcore football fan, but I am extremely happy that the Giants won.

That being said, there are some key points that you should take away from this:

  • Begin with the end in mind
  • Have a clear vision of your goals
  • Develop a clear plan of action based on your goals
  • Assess your progress and update your program on a frequent basis
  • Strive for constant improvement, but don’t worry about perfection
  • Never give up hope

This Super Bowl upset should set you on fire with enthusiasm towards achieving your goals!

I am going to use the New York Giants as a huge motivating factor towards achieving my goals for the coming year. I am more excited now than I have been in a long time.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions towards achieving your goals.

I wish you the best in everything that you do. :)

Disneyland Needs Bigger Boats for Bigger Riders

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

It’s true. Disneyland is closing the “It’s A Small World” attraction to install bigger boats that will accomodate bigger riders.

When the ride was first opened the boats were built to accomodate a 175 pound man and a 135 pound woman. It seems that, with the increased weight of todays population, the boats are routinely bottoming out.

Al Lutz reported on MiceAge earlier this month that Disney will next year rebuild the ride system of the It’s A Small World attraction at Disneyland to add larger boats and a deeper flume, to prevent what’s become a common occurrence — the 1960s-era boats “bottoming out” and coming to a stop, due to the excess weight of today’s riders.

“The new flume will follow the exact same path as the original, and it will travel past sets that are in the exact same locations. But the extra depth of the new flume and the added buoyancy of the new boats should allow for several hundred extra pounds of churro-loving park visitors to pile into the new boats before they bottom out and bring the ride to a stop,” Lutz wrote.

According to Robert Niles of www.ThemeParkInsider.com , this is becoming a common occurrence in theme parks across the nation. According to Niles, “parks are adding “plus-sized” seats to roller coasters, “test” seats at the beginning of ride queues, and in some cases, rebuilding ride systems entirely.”

Isn’t this a shame? 30% of the American population is clinically obese and 65% are overweight. This translates into 90 million Americans clinically obese and 195 million overweight.

These numbers are staggering. If you have been thinking about starting a weight management or exercise program it’s time to get off the fence and start… today!

If you don’t know where to begin, I can help clear the confusion and set you down a straight line path towards health and fitness. I have developed proven methods that guarantee your success.

Have a wonderful day,

Americans Are Still Getting Fatter

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

I hope you had a fantastic Memorial Day Weekend.

I found some interesting news that I thought you should know about.

A research group called the Trust for America’s Health recently released a study which reported that obesity rates climbed in 31 states across the nation, with no decline in any states.

Obesity Rates Are Highest in the South
Mississippi came in number one. More than 30% of its residents are obese. That is Crazy! More than 30% of Mississippi’s residents are obese! Think about that for a second. 3 out of 10 people are not just fat; they are clinically obese.

West Virginia, Alabama, and Louisiana and a few other states are not far behind.

America is Fat
Two-thirds of American adults, and approximately 25 million American children, are overweight or obese. Click here to read the full story Americans Are Still Getting Fatter

This is truly an epidemic of mammoth proportions (pun intended). Something definitely has to be done about this.

We cannot ignore this problem any longer. America has got to take a proactive approach towards its health and fitness or we are all going to be in serious trouble… soon. Take a look at the article.

Do I Have A Solution?
Yes, I do. I have been working on a solution to this growing epidemic for quite some time and it is ready to be released later this month.

It is titled Better Living With Whole Foods. I will not say much about it right now, other than the fact that it is my solution to a growing problem in America.

I’ll talk to you soon.

Obesity is Socially Contagious!

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

I just received an email with the following link. Just goes to prove the old saying: “You are what you hang out with.”

If your friends and family get fat, chances are you will too, researchers report in a startling new study that suggests obesity is “socially contagious” and can spread easily from person to person.

Interesting stuff, huh?

Surf City Run - Transformers - Fireworks Show

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

I hope you had a fantastic 4th of July Celebration.

My day was action packed:

Surf City Run (Huntington Beach)
We arrived in Huntington Beach at approximately 7AM for the Surf City 5k Run. What a wonderful way to start out the 4th of July.

I was in attendance with 5 other people. It’s a lot of fun to run a race with friends. The comaraderie is excellent.

This year was the biggest I have ever seen it. There were thousands of people in attendance.

It was such a wonderful feeling to be surrounded by so many like minded people. The energy was amazing. Everybody was so very happy.

Transformers (Newport Beach)
After a quick shower and a bite to eat we headed over to the Newport Big 6 Theaters to watch the matinee showing of Transformers.

It was my first time at the Newport Big 6. They claim that they are the biggest theater west of the Mississippi. It definitely is huge and the sound system is out of this world. Worth the price of admission.

How was the movie? Well, it was fantastic. I really liked it. There is so much action in this movie and the effects were perfect. And I am not a movie guy.

Transformers is definitely a big screen movie. Don’t wait for the dvd.

Fireworks (Long Beach)
To finish the day off I went to Long Beach to watch their fireworks show. My friend has one of the best seats in the house right on his balcony. The city of Long Beach did a great job. It was a perfect way to close out Independence Day.

Needless to say, I slept like a baby when I got home.

This year’s 4th of July was the best I’ve had in a long while. I feel extremely blessed and privileged.

Well, bye for now.
